Obituary for Louise N. Smith
Louise Nelson Smith, 91, of Milton, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Louise was born December 27, 1926, the second of five children, to the late Edlow and Lillian Nelson, in Elba, Alabama. She was a founding member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church. She was owner of Smith & Son Mechanical Contracting and Smith and Son Ranch, along with her husband.
Mrs. Smith loved the Lord, and loved her family with her whole heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Smith; daughter, Martha Melvin; grandson, Matt Melvin; and her brother, Charles Nelson.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Steve Smith; four granddaughters, Heather Newcomb, Aleshia Smith, Kristal Helms and Melissa Melvin; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Lorene Cooper and Malean Danley; and her brother, Gilbert Nelson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
