Obituary for Terrance Leroy "Terry" Walker
Terrance “Terry” Leroy Walker, age 69, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 8, 2018.
Terry graduated from Colonial High School in Orlando and earned a BS degree in Science/Math from Rollins College. Terry went on to receive a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. He continued to work for the military as a civilian and also retired from civil service. Terry loved being a part of the U.S. Navy and his position of Naval Flight Officer/Navigator on the P-3 Orion. He also loved his role as instructor and trainer.
He avidly enjoyed spending time outside working on home projects including building and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel Walker; his brother, Larry Walker; and his previous wife, Joanne Walker, the mother of his three oldest children.
Terry loved his family and was proud of all his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Keith Walker; his children, Shane Walker, Christi (John) Fusco, Laura Teschel, and Will Walker; his stepdaughter, Lauren (Jon) Gann; his mother, Clara Kenne Walker; one sister, Rissa Memory; his grandchildren, Johnny and Roman, Aidan and Sydney, Wade, Hayden and Laine; step-grandchildren; Brayden, Caroline, and Jack; and many other loving family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Navarre First Assembly of God Church. He will be laid to rest in Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date with Lewis Funeral Home of Navarre directing.
Visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the services.
