Obituary for Barbara Ginger Porter
On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, we lost someone special, Barbara Ginger Porter, due to an extended illness. She was 79 years old.
Her innocence and pure spirit touched everyone that knew her. She was one of GOD's special angels who was on loan to us for a short while.
Barbara was born in Enterprise, Alabama, on April 27, 1939. She and her mother moved to Pensacola shortly after her birth. In 1941, her mother met and later married Walter G. Porter Jr. Barbara lived in Pensacola the majority of her life with her parents.
Barbara's pathway in her life was of LOVE and KINDNESS. She had deep love of family, animals, music, sewing, old classic movies and last, but not least, "sunshine".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Mae (Parrish) Porter; and her dad, Walter Graham Porter Jr.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her sister, Pam (Porter) Engstrom; nephews, Michael Engstrom and Eric (Hayley) Engstrom; cousin, Regina (Mike) Glover; and their children, Alisha (Eric) Becker and Dallas Glover.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to Covenant Hospice be made, in her name. Your gift is appreciated.
