Julie Annette Lashuay (Bethard), age 55, of Milton, Florida, went to heaven Friday, July 6, 2018. She joined her parents, Jim and Mary-Jo Bethard, and sister, Jamie Vanmeter, after fighting a long and arduous battle with cancer.

Julie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark; their three children, Amanda, Joshua and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Brady, Nicholas and Makayla; along with her sisters, Lissa and Pamela; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Julie lived a life serving others. She was a natural caregiver who always thought of everyone else first. There wasn’t a day that passed that Julie didn’t have a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone who came into her life. Her laughter was infectious, and her positivity radiated everywhere she went.

Being a mother was the most important part of Julie’s life. She loved her children fiercely and a day never passed that they did not feel that love. Together, Julie and her kids created memories that will be held close to their hearts and cherished for eternity.

As high-school sweethearts, newlyweds, parents and eventually grandparents, Julie and Mark cultivated a life of love, laughter and adventure that spanned four decades and will forever be, a true love story.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. A Private Burial will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing.
