Obituary for Margaret Elizabeth "Maggie" Filbert
Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” Filbert, 5 1/2 months old, of Milton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Maggie was born on December 19, 2017, to Brad and Amie (McMillion) Filbert.
“Maggie was a gift to our family and we are forever grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We couldn’t be more proud to call her our daughter. She had a wisdom to her that we have never witnessed in a child. She brought so much love and goodness out in many people. She was Beautiful….She FOREVER CHANGED our lives!”
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Arthur Michael “Mac” McMillion.
Maggie is survived by her parents, Brad and Amie (McMillion) Filbert; two brothers, Nate and Jon Filbert; maternal grandmother, Barbara McMillion; paternal grandparents, Doug and Alison Filbert, and Sheila and William Sirmans; maternal great grandparents, Art and Ruth McMillion; paternal great grandparents, Bobby and Jean Shouppe, and Juanita and James McCreary; aunts and uncles, Melissa and Adam Floyd, Michael McMillion, Thomas McMillion, Stacie Filbert, Camden and Tim Sabat, Stephanie Stone, DJ and Sarah Sparks, and Tiffany and Adam Stayberg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Pine Terrace Baptist Church in Milton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Pine Terrace Baptist Church, with Dr. Michael Wiggins officiating, and Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. Pallbearers will be: Adam Floyd, Jeff Klug, Michael McMillion, and Thomas McMillion.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Pine Terrace Baptist Church Student Ministries (for Middle School and High School).
