Obituary for
Raymond Dwayne Morrell
Raymond Dwayne Morrell, of Crestview, passed away suddenly from complications related to kidney failure and diabetes, on Monday, May 28, 2018.
He was born in Milton, Florida, on May 2, 1961. He graduated from Milton High School in 1979 and was on the First State Championship Milton Panther Football Team as an offensive guard.
Dwayne was a Veteran, having served in the US Air Force from 1981-1985, as a Senior Airman. After his military duty, he became an Aeronautics Electronics Technician, having worked all over the United States and abroad. He had been working for Boeing Aeronautics for the past twelve years, and was working with them in Charleston, South Carolina, for the past eight years. He loved his work and had just received an award for his dedicated service.
He grew up at Milton First Assembly of God Church and had cherished memories of attending church and playing softball with lifelong friends.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Franklin Morrell; and his grandparents, Oscar and Pearl Morrell, and William and Pearl Taylor.
He is survived by his mother, Linda M. Morrell; brother, David O. Morrell; sister, Marie M. Stoner (Clifford); niece, Felicia M. Wynne (Bert); and nephews, Clifford Robert Stoner (Cortney), and Michael Misky (Jodi); four great-nieces; and his girlfriend, Cecilia Hickman.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Fred Rogers and Rev. Philip Polk officiating. Burial will follow services in Serenity Gardens Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
