Charline Robbins Hood  Warrick




Charline Robbins Hood Warrick, 93, of Jay, Florida, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. Mrs. Warrick was born September 17, 1924, to the late Joe and Mae Robbins, in Walnut Hill, Florida.




Mrs. Warrick was retired from Monsanto. She was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary since 1974, and was a frequent attendee to girls state while offering many local high school girls the opportunity to see how state government is run. She was also a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was much loved by her children and grandchildren. Many holidays were spent at Grandma’s house; several of her grandchildren lived with her for periods of time creating an even closer bond.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Mary Magdalene Robbins and Louree Battaglia; three brothers, Alton, Theodore, and Harrell Robbins; her husband, Raymond Hood; and a granddaughter, Judy Flowers.

Mrs. Warrick is survived by her husband, J.D. Warrick of Jay; two sons, Ray (Terri) Hood of Pensacola, Florida, and Bruce (Anne) Hood of Falmouth, Maine; daughter, Laura (George) Kalata of Auburn, Alabama; step-son, Jimmy Warrick of Elberton, Georgia; grandson-in-law, Alton Flowers; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hood; and a very special niece, Arlene De La Fosse of Atmore, Alabama. Mrs. Warrick also leaves to cherish her memory, eight grandchildren, John (Michelle) Hood, Anne (Rich) Henry, Cory (Christy) Baker, Kim (Mark) Beecher, Ken Hood, April (Matt) Williams, Steven Jenkins and Christy Hamilton; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mark Barfield officiating. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery. Pall bearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Cory Baker, Alton Flowers, Mark Beecher, Ken Hood, John Hood and Jackson Flowers.

Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the services.

Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
