Obituary for
Steven James Plant
Steven James Plant, 54, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born December 13, 1963, in Milton, Florida, to James Elijah and Mary Christine Plant. He was married on July 28, 1989, to the love of his life, Dawn Allison Parton, at Pace Assembly of God Church, in Pace, Florida.
He was employed by Clyde’s Well Service, and was a former co-owner of AP Plumbing. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and doing good for others. He was a lifelong member of Pace Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents. J.E. and Christine Plant.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Plant; daughter, Amanda Joy Plant; brother, Johnny (Carrie) Plant; brother, Jonathan (Anita) Kent; best friend, Dale Asberry; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Pace Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Glyn Lowery officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Steven’s name, to the Special Needs Children’s Ministry at Pace Assembly of God Church.
