Karen Lynn "Candy"  Rutherford
Karen Lynn “Candy” Rutherford, 60, of Pace, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at her home.

Karen was born September 22, 1957, in Carrollton, Georgia. She held many job titles throughout her life. First and foremost, she was a wonderful mother and wife. She started her working career at Santa Rosa Restaurant, as a waitress, when she was a teenager; then went on to work at Vanity Fair and held many different positions during her sewing career until the facility closed.

She went on to work at two different call centers; and later, she worked as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt. Finally, she was able to open her own sewing and alteration shop in her house where she was able to make great clients and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Myra Jean Coon; step-father, James Coon; sister, Verna Crumbley; paternal grandparents, Homer Crumbley and Neelie Crumbley; and maternal grandparents, John Kilgore and Verna Kilgore.

Karen is survived by her husband, Alton Rutherford; father, Clois Crumbley, and step-mother, Anna Crumbley; sister, Cynthia (James) LeMons; brother, Joel Crumbley; daughters, Tonia Reed, Felicia “Lisa” (Jeff) Henderson, Kathy (James) Shelton, Jeanie (Jodie) Parker, Selena (Michael) Fowler, and Tracy (Sam) Wells; son, Roger “Aaron” Bell; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two on the way; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation and services will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, in Pace, Florida. Family visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., friends will be received 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Funeral Services will start at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow services at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Milton. Pallbearers will be Michael Fowler, Richie Rutherford, James Rutherford, Arthur “AJ” Fraley Jr, Cody Lamb, and Mitchell Nolin.
