Myron Elaine Norris, 69, of Milton, Florida, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, after a long illness.



Myron was born July 1, 1948, in Pace, Florida, and was a lifelong resident. Myron was a hard worker, and had worked at Santa Rosa Medical Center for many years making many lifelong friends. Myron enjoyed cooking and working with her hands, creating beautiful flower arrangements, and she loved to read. The most important thing to Myron was her family, whom she loved dearly; she was very proud of her children and “her Savannah.” Myron had a multitude of friends and family who loved her, her quick wit and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Myron is preceded in death by her parents, Volzia and Dell Marie Norris; two sisters, Christine and Barbara; and her brother, Lamar.

Myron is survived by her children, Shannon Lambert; her precious granddaughter, Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Dara and John Upton; and her companion for many years, Troy Lewis. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Roger Trehern; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins; her Aunt Inez; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will follow in Bagdad Cemetery.
