My husband and I met Devin for the first time this July in Belize. He seemed so very happy to explore the world and learn something new. I thought how amazing for someone his age to have so many great experiences and to have such wonderful people guide him along the way. Devin had the opportunity to experience some incredible dives, venture to find wildlife to send pictures to mom and dad, and sample local food with us boring adults. His hosts were so happy to see Devin experience something new to tell mom and dad about. I still see Devin walking carefully up to an iguana on the river side to snap a picture. While we only knew Devin for a short week we were very saddened to hear about his passing. Although there is no way for us to ease the loss of your son we should all have the opportunity to leave this world exploring and learning something new like Devin. Sadly it sometimes takes events like this to remind the rest of us to enjoy life a little bit more and focus on the positive things. Rest in peace Devin.
