Obituary for Marcelle Uptain
Marcelle Uptain, 92, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 13, 2017. Marcelle was a native of Jasper, Alabama, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Flora Holcomb.
She has resided in the Milton area since 1965. She was an avid reader, crafted jewelry, gardener, and a homebody.
Mrs. Uptain is survived by three sons, Dwayne (Ingrid) Uptain, Gary Uptain, and Don (Magdalena) Mims; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elaine Otto, Betty Holcomb, Billie Uptain, and Rosalyn Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Mike Poston officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
