Sonja B. Overstreet
1947-2013

Sonja Overstreet, 66, of McLellan, FL passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013.

Mrs. Overstreet was a native of Pensacola, FL and has lived in Santa Rosa County for the last 23 years.

She was a member of the McLellan Church of Christ Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Joelan Overstreet, her parents, Monroe and Joanne Burlerson; and a sister, Viola Clark.

She is survived by 4 sons, Keith Brunson of McLellan, Howard Brunson of Atmore, Joseph (Cheri) Overstreet of McLellan and Kyle Brunson of Pensacola; 3 daughters, Jeannie (Darren) Asby of New Smyrna Beach, Joelen (Billy) Overstreet of Baker and Mechelle (Dewey) Mathews of Holt; 18 grandchildren, Dustin, Jeremy, Dylan, Brittany, Timmy, Colby, Bethany, Contessa, Felicity, Stephanie, Joelan, Kaylee, Kylee, Michael, Kyle, Ben, Luke and Kerry; 4 great grandchildren, Cassidy, Addyson, William and Kyler; a niece, Debbie Thomas; cousins, Donald and Ambie of St. Petersburg; and many special relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Overstreet will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Alton Nixon, officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday July 25, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel.

Contributions may also be made to the Santa Rosa County Humane Society in Mrs. Overstreet's honor.

Active Pallbearers will be: Bubba McGhee, Trey Utley, Derek Gomez, Tyler McGloughin, Jeff Locklin, Steve Locklin, Hunter or Billy Ray Lewis and Nevada Smith.
Honorary Pallbearer will be: Jerry Varn Adore, Tommy Pugh, Billy Pittman, Mike Temple, Chubby Locklin and Roger Pugh.
