I give my deepest condolences to Teddy and his family. I served with him in 1st Platoon Bravo Company 1-37 AR during the 2003-2004 tour. He was a great friend and soldier. He was always there to help you out with whatever troubles you faced. He will be missed by us all, may god be with him and his family.

My deepest condolences, I had the privilege to serve with "Youngbuck" as we so affectionately called him. After 2 tours to Iraq with 1-37 Armor it deeply saddens me to learn that our time with Teddy will be cut short. Rest in peace my brother.

There are so many fond memories I have with Ted since we became friends in early 2003 when he came to the RED DAWG platoon in Bulldog Company. Right off the bat I saw the caliber of soldier that Ted was to be and that he was a quality person and someone whom I would come to depend on very heavily in the coming months and year of combat that we would soon endure. Ted and I slept next to one another for months. He was always ready to fight the devil with a glass of water. The memory that stands the most is August 2003 in Baghdad Ted helped save a young Iraqi boy whom had fallen to heat stroke. I watched him work tirelessly and the true concern and conviction in his eyes to give this child one more day on this world. That day I was truly blessed and honored to call Ted not only my friend but my Brother. Til we meet again my Friend "BANDITS DO NOT FAIL WITH WHOM THEY SERVE"

Teddy was an amazing person with a heart of solid gold. Throughout ones time in the military, you encounter many people (most of them forgotten as simply a brief acquaintance). Teddy Young, however is one of those individuals that leave a lasting impression, for it would be all but impossible to not save a piece of him in your heart. I will never know a man quite a true and I will never forget Teddy Young. RIP
