Obituary for Cora Alice Beard (Beard)
Cora Alice Beard, 74, of Milton, Florida, (Margate, Florida) passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
Cora was born in Hancock, Maryland, on December 30, 1944, She was one of thirteen children born to Edward Chester and Florence Pearl (Stottler) Beard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Edward Beard; her life partner, Melvin Folk “Pop-Pop”; four brothers, Bill, Jim, Fred “Bud”, and Ed; and three sisters, Florence, Barbara, and Baby Girl Beard.
Cora was the mother of four sons and one daughter. She is survived by her children, Curtis Hynson, Melvin “Junior” Folk, Joe Hynson, Scott Folk, and Carol Parker; four daughters-in-law, Brenda, Spring, Denise and Deena; a son-in-law, Duane; four sisters, Rose, Liz, Sue and Clara; and her brother, Chuck.
“Granny” is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Shantel Hynson, Curtis Hynson Jr, Tonya Hynson, Summer Folk, James Folk, Heather Folk, Autumn Folk, Stacey Hynson, Kyle Folk, Kaitlyn Folk, Ashley Lamrouex, Amanda Parker, Donald Parker and Sarah Parker; and 17 great grandchildren, Chloe, Haylee, Cameron, Brenda, Alex, Dylan, Nevaeh, Leland, Harley, Pebbles, Kayden, JC, Carter, Aubrey, John, Caroline and William.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Milton, Florida, and the staff at Medi Home Health in Pensacola, Florida, for their care of Cora during her time with them.
