Obituary for Bertha Lee Marlow (Sanders)

Bertha Lee Sanders Marlow of Molino, FL., victoriously went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by three sons, and one daughter.
Bertha was the daughter of Herman & Prudence Sanders who lived in McCullough, AL., at the time of her birth on December 10, 1938, and she was the faithful sister to four brothers and two sisters.
Her life was filled with love for her husband (George “Sonny” Marlow), her nine children (Connie Marlow, Forrest Marlow, Russell Turner, Harold Turner, Charles Turner, John Turner, Ramona Marlow McCall, Sharon Marlow McAnally, and Marian Marlow Kays), her 18 grandchildren, and her 20 great grandchildren. She felt blessed to have them all, and she was proud of the unity of her blended families of both husbands, Dick Turner and George.
Also she would never want to neglect the love of her brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bertha for many years demonstrated her talents with the art of painting. Some of her treasures still hang in her home. Playing dominoes was a pastime and love of hers (especially when she was winning). She also loved her weekly outing at Deluna Lanes where she bonded and developed a love for all those she bowled with.
Her church family was one of her greatest loves. Cottage Hill Assembly of God church felt like her second home where she could worship and fellowship with others of like faith. She always knew she had their prayers, love, and support.
Bertha’s faith in God was so strongly shown through her last days expressing her love and trust of Him in every situation. Even through her struggles, praises of Him flowed from her lips. It was her desire for all her loved ones to know how much she loved them and how much God loves them.
Visitation will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 23rd at Cottage Hill Assembly of God in Cantonment, FL., followed by the funeral at 3 pm. Serving our country as a military wife, burial will be held later at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
