Obituary for Tiger James Lindsey

Tiger James Lindsey, 55, passed from this world on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. He was a resident of Navarre, Florida, for many years.

Tiger was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 9, 1963, to Houston Cleveland Murphy and Barbara Jean Lindsey Murphy. He attended Pleasant Grove High School and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in nursing.

He lived a life of thrills, curiosity, and adventures. He worked such occupations as nursing, office management, property management, retail, and restaurant. He lived his life fully and happily in several locales including Navarre, Birmingham, and Greensboro, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Tiger is survived by his sister, Gwenda Murphy Cole, of Birmingham; godson, Alexander Foltz; his lifelong friend and caregiver, Michael F. Mills, of Navarre; and a host of friends and family.

Tiger was a loved and revered individual in the Navarre, Florida area. He was somewhat of a local celebrity and was deemed "the unofficial mayor of Navarre" by his peers. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, good deeds, laughs, and memories. You made your mark.

A Celebration of Tiger's Life will be held early next year.
