Obituary for Audrey Dierker (Geiser)
Audrey (Geiser) (Umbach) Dierker, 91 years old, from Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018.
Audrey was born March 6, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the 12th of 14 children born to William and Eleanora Geiser. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1945.
Audrey is preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Umbach; her second husband, Thomas Dierker; and her son, Dale Umbach.
Audrey is survived by her sister, Delores McCarthy of Cincinnati; daughter, Donna Stohr, of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Nancy Umbach of Muncie, Indiana; son, Steven (Sheila) Umbach of Hamilton, Ohio; daughter, Nancy (Sam) Smith of Gulf Breeze, Florida; son, Jeffrey (Patricia) Umbach of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; son, Randy Umbach of Gulf Breeze, Florida; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by eight step-children of Thomas Dierker: Dave, Barb, Mark, Michele, Tim, Joe, Bill, and Tom and families, all from Cincinnati,Ohio and Columbus, Ohio.
Audrey was loved by many. She moved to Gulf Breeze in 2014 and was well-received in the St. Sylvester Community and became the oldest Columbiette (branch of the Knights of Columbus).
Audrey's funeral will be held at St. Sylvester Church on Saturday, September 29th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.; and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida, with Lewis Funeral Home of Navarre directing.
Audrey moved to Navarre Gardens Assisted Living Facility in June 2018. The family is extremely happy with the loving care she received from the staff and residents during her short time there.
The family requests memorial donations be made, in Audrey’s name, to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
