Obituary for Dawn Marie Alexander

Dawn Marie  Alexander
Dawn Marie Alexander, 82, of Navarre, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Dawn was born in Carson Siding, Maine, in 1936, to Lloyd and Zelda “Sally” Caron. Her family moved to Limestone, Maine, with her younger siblings, Daryl Caron, Larry Caron, and Joela Caron. Dawn graduated as class Salutatorian from Limestone High School in 1955.

Upon graduation she met and married the love of her life, Edward Thomas Alexander, of Concord, Massachusetts, a United States Air Force Staff Sergeant. They traveled the world and settled in Acton, Massachusetts, where they raised their four beautiful children, son Edward Jr., daughter Karen, daughter Tracie, and son James. She and Edward eventually retired to Florida and were married for 58 years until his passing in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sally Caron; husband, Eddie Alexander; daughter, Karen Alexander; brother, Daryl Caron; and her brother-in-law, George Monical.

Dawn is survived by her son, Edward and his wife Nora of California; daughter, Tracie Pereira and her husband Paul of Navarre; son, James and his wife Debra of New York; her sister-in-law, Judy Caron; brother, Larry Caron and his wife Michelle; and her sister, Joela Monical. She also leaves to cherish her memory, ten grandchildren, Christopher Alexander and his wife Diana, Michael Alexander and his wife Sarah, Grace Hooks and her husband Nick, Erin Pereira, Olivia Warschaw, Jonah Warschaw, Nicholas Alexander, Renee Alexander, Bradley Alexander, and Courtney Alexander.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel (Lewis Funeral Home, 7749 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566). The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the services.

Interment will be held at a future date at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. She will be buried alongside her loving husband Eddie.
