Heinz Hans Necker, 79, of Navarre, Florida, passed away surrounded by family at Covenant Hospice Care in Sacred Heart Hospital on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Heinz was born in Waldenbuch, Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1959, where he resided in Toledo, Ohio, until moving to Florida in 1999. He was the youngest of six children born to the late August and Marie Necker. He served two years in the U.S. Army primarily stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii where he obtained the rank of Sgt. Heinz was an experienced automotive mechanic with 40+ years of domestic and foreign vehicles and service fleet vehicles.

Heinz is survived by his wife of 57 years, MaryAnn; son, Eric (Diane) of Portales, New Mexico; daughter, Heidi Necker of Gulf Breeze, Florida; son, Kurt (Amy) of Mt. Blanchard, Ohio; daughter, Brigitte Head (Mark) of Covington, Louisiana; and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, FL 32566.) Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial service will be held in Toledo, Ohio, at a later date.
