Obituary for Gayle "Maurene" Bourque (Loup)
Gayle “Maurene” Bourque was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on February 7, 1949. She passed away, in her sleep, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
Maurene was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and co-owner of Bourque Printing, Inc.; and then she retired to Florida. “Maurie” was a generous, big hearted loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Maurene was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Loup and Audrey Basso.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gary Bourque, of Navarre, Florida. She is also survived by her daughter, Dawn Birdsong Jackson, of Frisco, Texas, and her husband, Eric Jackson; three grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley and Haley Jackson; and three siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, in Frisco, Texas. Time has not been set.
Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
