Obituary for Virginia Lorraine "Jenny" McCullough

Virginia Lorraine "Jenny" McCullough
Virginia “Jenny” Lorraine McCullough went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was 95 years old.

Jenny was born on August 2, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The youngest of four born to the late Francis Grainger Rich and Mary B. Rich.

Jenny married a decorated war veteran, Donald H. McCullough, in 1943. Donald died in December of 1991. During World War II, she worked at a Douglas Aircraft plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while Donald served as a radio technician in the United States Navy. After the war, she became a homemaker and volunteer in various organizations. She loved her family and Jesus and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Pace. She loved to sew, cross-stitch, cook, play games, and garden.

She is survived by a son, David (Gail) Rich McCullough of St. Louis, Missouri; and one daughter, Judy (Robert) Lloyd of Pace, Florida.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, John David (Jennifer) McCullough of Houston, Texas; Robert Lloyd Junior of Pensacola, Florida; Carrie Lee (Roy) Prince of Houston, Texas; Marsha Anderson of Pensacola, Florida; Jennifer (Drew) Bilbrey of Pace, Florida; Jack Don King of Pensacola, Florida; David (Megan) King of Pace, Florida; Jason (Amanda) McCullough of Decatur, Illinois; Katie McCullough of St. Louis, Missouri.
Jenny was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who always helped her family whether babysitting, offering a place to stay or giving her time to listen. She was a wonderful role model and so loved. She will be missed so very much by all her family but we are all blessed to know that she is “Home.”

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida, with Dr. Jerry Passmore officiating. Burial will follow services in Memory Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., prior to the services.

Flowers will be accepted; condolences for the family may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.net or www.facebook.com/lewisfun.home
