Tim Hudson
Loving Father, Grandpa Tim, PaPa, Great Grandfather and a Great Daddy!
James Timothy “Tim” Hudson passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 60 years old.
Tim was born September 25, 1957, the second of three children, to James Ellis Hudson and Julia Isabel Lucas-Hudson, in Pensacola, Florida. Tim lived most of his life in Pace, Florida; and attended Pensacola Christian and Tate High Schools.
Tim taught himself how to repair and program computers. After graduation, Tim opened his own business called “Hudson Window Tinting” where he tinted cars, business windows, radio installations, and sunroofs. Tim and his friend, Brian, opened a business where they were considered Petroleum Landmen. They did GIS mapping and some computer programming. His final job was with Elm Corps where he did mapping, websites, surveying and computer repairs for Willard.
Tim had a mild stroke in 2011. He approached his illness with bravery and grace. He inspired everyone in his life to live each day to the fullest.
Tim was a faithful man of God all his life. He studied the word of God daily. He never said a harsh word to anyone. He had several close friends whom he called his brothers and sisters. He believed that the Lord was coming soon and that we all need to be ready for his return. His favorite thing to do was cheer on his daughter, Tasha, and his granddaughter, Kayla, as they played softball. Tim also coached his two sons, Daniel’s and Joshua’s, T-ball team for three years. If Tim were still here to speak to us, he would remind each of us to be patient, say something kind, laugh every day, and to be kind to animals.
Tim married Cindy Wallace and had two sons, Daniel Hudson and Joshua Hudson. Tim and Cindy later divorced.
Later he met Joan. As best friends, Tim helped raise Joan’s daughter, Tasha, for the last 31 years as one of his own.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Ellis Hudson; and his adored dog, Sammy
Tim is survived by his mother, Julia Isabel Hudson; his sister, Deborah Hudson, of Austell, Georgia; his brother, Wayne Hudson, of Pensacola, Florida; two sons, Daniel Hudson and Joshua Hudson, both of Pensacola, Florida; and a daughter, Tasha Hudson-Formosa, of Milton, Florida. He is also survived by Joan's two sons, Jonathan and Bryron; and last but certainly not least, all together he is survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, Isaiah Miskimens; and his beloved dogs, Starbright and Midnight.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:45 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, Florida 32571). Interment will follow services, at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., prior to the services.
Message from the family:
The Hudsons, Chavers and Formosa families thank all of Tim's wonderful and supportive friends and family who have comforted us during this difficult time.
