Obituary for Amber Robinson
Amber Robinson, age 18, was taken from this world far too soon in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Amber was born on January 16, 2000. She lived in Texas, Alabama and Florida, before her life journey took her on a trip toward California where she was to see her Mommy and sister for the first time in years. Amber was an avid artist, reader, writer, philosopher, mystic, animal lover, photographer, adventurer, and a recent ukulele enthusiast. Above all, she was a doting sister.
Amber is survived by many loved ones, most significantly her four siblings on whom she fixated her love and life choices. Amber believed we can “do better, be better” in this generation, and that all living things deserve love and happiness. Amber believed in perseverance, in standing up for herself, and in overcoming tragedy by becoming healthy and strong. Her most recent achievement was graduating from Santa Rosa Adult School a semester early even though she was two years behind when she willingly re-entered foster care so that her siblings would not have to experience it alone. Her family wishes to thank those who worked tirelessly to identify Amber, and everyone who loved her and made her feel safe in life. Amber’s ashes will be spread by her sister along the West Coast.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Guy Thompson Community Center
