Obituary for Robert Lee Dye

Robert Lee Dye, 70, of Milton, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018. Mr. Dye was born in Prichard, Alabama, to Mary Magdeline (Mooneyham) Dye and Eddie Brooks Dye.

Mr. Dye was retired from the U.S. Army with over 22 years of service and having served two Tours of Duty in Vietnam. After retirement from the Army, he became a Federal Police Officer for a number of years in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. After that retirement, around 20 years ago, he moved to the Milton area.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen Margaret Dye.

Mr. Dye is survived by his children: Mark Dye, Margaret Dye, and Tonja Peterson; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Dye Faulk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dye will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. William Milam officiating, and Lewis Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, prior to services, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
