Obituary for Barbara Byrom Quinlan

Barbara Byrom Quinlan died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, June 22, 2018.

Barbara was born in Sacred Heart Hospital on April 1, 1953, and grew up in Milton. Barbara enjoyed gardening, her horses and providing care for others, especially young children. Barbara graduated from Milton High School and attended Florida State University.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Terry; her daughter, Betsy; and her granddaughter, Sarah. She is also survived by her stepmother, Geri Byrom; and her three sisters, Priscilla (Pete Sanstead), Jennifer (Alan Steele), and Julie (Guy Cooper). In addition, she is survived by her nieces, Leslie (Julius), Caroline, Gracie; her nephew, Tyler (Vanessa); her cousins, Jack Williamson (Betty), Diane, Joseph, Pokey, Speedy Raney; and her uncle, George Raney (Rebecca).

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, William H. “Cotton” Byrom and Frances Raney Byrom.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with the Reverend Matthew Dollhausen, Rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will follow services in Milton Cemetery beside her parents. Pallbearers will be Shane Busby, Scott Quinlan, William Nelson, Alan Steele, Tyler Sparr, and Paul Green.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made, in Barbara’s name, to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (6849 Oak Street Milton, Florida 32570).
