Obituary for Dale Patrick Hall

Dale Patrick Hall
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Patrick Hall announces his passing on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the age of 87 years old.

Dale was born on October 9, 1930, in Baker, Florida. He lived several places in Northwest Florida and South Alabama, until he joined the USMC and served three years. He retired from Civil Service at Whiting Field after 42 years of service, with a three year stay in Okinawa Japan, during his career. Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed much of that for the 34 years he lived in Munson, Florida. Upon his retirement, he moved to the Roeville Community in 1995. Dale loved to laugh and joke around with people. He loved photography and videoing people, places and events. He enjoyed many years attending Blackwater Baptist Church.

Probably his greatest hobby was farming, gardening, and growing anything that could be grown, and was very good at it; and most of all he loved to share it with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl H. Hall and Jessie O. Spurlin Hall; two sisters, Virginia Trawick and June (Alma Lee) Lassiter; and a brother, Rodney (Irma) Hall.

Dale is survived by his wife of 61 years, JoAnn Hall; two sons, Steve (Bonnie) Hall and Michael (Sheila) Hall; five brothers, Eric Hall, Carl (Vonnie) Hall, Dean (Rita) Hall, Jess (Peaches) Hall and David Hall; one sister, Colleen Gibson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Bro. Jessie Rheams officiating. Interment will follow services in Crain Cemetery, Milton, Florida. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Melvin Wolfe, Shannon Beasley, Duwood Mulford and Allen McLin.

Heaven gained a great man and soul, he will be greatly missed.
