Shirley “Yvonne” Murphy, 81, of Pace, entered her glorified body to forever be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Shirley Yvonne was born in Bowling Green, Florida, on January 24, 1937, to the late W.A. and Evelyn (Smith) Bodiford. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting cardinals, gardening and crocheting, but most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W.A. and Evelyn S. Bodiford; two brothers, Ronald E. Bodiford and Ervin Bodiford; a sister, Doris Cantrell; and her grandson, Rodney R. Cropper, II.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 65 years, James S. Murphy, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Murphy Wolters; son, James S. Murphy, III; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Barnes and Macey Cropper; two brothers, Wade A. Bodiford and Randell Bodiford; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel. Pall bearers will be Ben Porter, Bernard Porter, Don Vincent, John Daye, Paul Smith and Dick Maddox.

Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
