Russell (Rosario) Joseph Candela, 78, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, surrounded by his wife and some family members at his home in Navarre, Florida.

Russ was born Rosario Joseph Candela in Detroit, Michigan, on October 2, 1939, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Josephine Candela. He moved with family from Detroit to Modesto, California, when he was seven years old. Russ was a graduate of Downey High School and attended Modesto Junior College.

Russ is survived by his wife, Susan Elizabeth Candela; and their children, Brion Candela, Brigitte Travaglini, Jeff Candela, Jason Crawford, Alicia Kline and Garland (Bobby) McGee.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Navarre, Florida.

Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
