Frances Joyner (Carr)
Frances Carr Joyner, age 83, of Holt, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was the first of eight children born to the late Willie Carr and Lizzie Mae Parker. Frances was a lifelong resident of Holt, Florida. She was a retired teacher with Santa Rosa County, with many years of service. Frances was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Samuel Joyner.
Frances is survived by her three daughters and one son, Opal (Danny Wolfe) Joyner, Carol (Dalton) Cobb, Tina Joyner, and Roger Joyner; five grandchildren, Miranda (John) Bell, Erin (Tommy) Vaughn, Ashley (Keith) Thomas, Matt Cobb, and Danielle Wolfe; eight great-grandchildren, Landon, Kailyn, Riley, Kellan, Morgan, Cason, Evan, and Leighton; seven brothers and sisters, Sybil Smith, Robert (Marylou) Carr, Faye (Hugh) Chavers, Gerald (Pat) Carr, Katie (Alton) Nixon, Earl (Connie) Carr, and Noah (Barbara) Carr; sister-in-law, Bonnie Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton.
Funeral Services, for Frances, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Holt, Florida, with Pastor Alton Nixon officiating.
