Obituary for
Joseph "Scot" Griffin
Joseph Scot Griffin, 51, of Milton, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018.
Scot was a native of Milton, Florida, and was a 1985 Milton High School graduate. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the National Guard. He spent the last 23 years with the Florida Department of Corrections and was very proud of his career.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe H. Griffin; maternal grandparents, Lois and Ray McLean; and his paternal grandparents, Bill and Mearle Griffin.
Scot is survived by his wife of 25 years, Wanda Griffin of Milton, Florida; one son, Andy (Lauren) Morris, of Sanford, Florida; his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Bill Smith, of Milton, Florida; one sister, Kelli Griffin, of Milton, Florida; one brother Matthew (Melissa) Smith, of Milton, Florida; two grandsons and a granddaughter, Andrew Morris, Noah Griffin Morris and Bethany Morris, all of Sanford, Florida; a granddaughter, Bethany Morris, of Sanford, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Chris Hawkins officiating.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the services.
