Ronald Lee Horm, 67, of Pace, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart. He was born June 17, 1950, to parents Arnold and June Ratell, in Columbus, Ohio. He proudly served in the Army from April 1969 to January 1972. He graduated from Troy University in 1995 with a degree in Criminal Justice, and retired as a Captain in the Dept. of Motor Carrier Compliance Department at the Florida Department of Transportation. He greatly enjoyed diving, golfing and biking.

Ron was a loving husband to Sally, and caring father to Ron (43), Laura (38), and Julie (30). He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, FL 32571). Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. Jonathan Russell officiating.

Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home of Pace directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorial contributions may be made, in Ron’s name, to the American Cancer Society.
