Carolyn Wills Rush
September 20, 1942- April 16, 2018

Carolyn Wills Rush, 75, of Pace, Florida, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018. Carolyn was a life-long native of Pace, Florida, and was the third daughter of seven sisters of the late Sanford and Laura Givens. Carolyn graduated from Milton High School and earned her degree in Cosmetology. Carolyn was widely known in the Pace community where many people relied on her for her expertise and skills. Carolyn continued in her career for over twenty years and only retired due to health issues. Carolyn was a member of Pace Community Church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Laura Givens; and sisters, Wanda Merker and Patricia Larson.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Rush, of Pace, Florida; three daughters, Terri (David) Hallock of Pace, Florida, Tami Wills Newton, of Pace, Florida, and Regina (David) Wheelus of Pace, Florida; six grandchildren, Richard K. Bankich, Jr., Chelsea Newton, Lindsey Wills-Vertz, Kyle Wills, McKenzie Wheelus Young, and Jordan Wheelus; and two great grandchildren, Ally Foster and James David Young.

Funeral Services for Carolyn Wills Rush will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Ron Christian officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home directing, at a later date.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Pace Community Church or The American Heart Association.
