Edna P  Burris (Peters)
Edna P. Burris, 84, of Pace, Florida, passed away at home March 19, 2018, surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Defuniak Springs, Florida, March 9, 1934. She married the love of her life, John W. Burris Sr. of Terre Haute, Indiana on June 17th of 1953. They lived in Indianapolis for a short period before making Pensacola their home in 1955. They moved to Pace in 1969, where they called home until their final days.

She was predeceased by her loving husband John W. Burris Sr. of 63 yrs. Parents; George Dewey Peters and Bell Crowder Peters; Brothers: A.F. Peters (Roy), D. G. Peters(Wilbur), George Dalton Peters (Rooster), Donald Peters (Pood), George Dewey Peters Jr. (Sonny). Sisters: Myrtle Garrett, Willa Mae Butler and Pearlene Thomas.

She is survived by her beloved children, John (Liz) Burris Jr., Lynn (Ny) Burris, James Buster (Terri) Burris, and Brenda (Ronney) Wade. She adored her grandchildren, Erin (John) Berg, Lynn (Leigh) Burris II, Lyle R. Burris, Larissa Burris, James Burris, Matthew Burris, Austin (Brittany) Wade, and Alison Wade; as well as, her five great-grandchildren.

She had a true passion for life and family. She loved camping and the water. She was proud of her family and loved each and every one of them with a powerful love. She leaves her family with a beautiful legacy and love that will never be forgotten. She was selfless in every way with her family and was always devoted and loving to each and every one of them. She gave of herself endlessly, loved all of them unconditionally and will be deeply missed.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all”. - Proverbs 31:28-29

She worked hard, loved us all unconditionally, gave all she had in every way, lived a great story and her love will endure for generations. Visitation will be held Thursday March 22,2018 10:30 AM to 11:30AM at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at Thursday March 22, 2018 at 1:30 AM,at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (County Hwy. 1084, DeFuniak
