Lewis Herman Harville, 75, from Milton, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Lewis was born on August 24, 1942 in Stockton, Alabama, one of five children born to Leroy and Thelma Harville. He was very faithful to God and to his church, Olivet Baptist Church, in Milton. He graduated from Escambia High School. He retired with 33 years from Monsanto, and served in the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Bobbi Harville; parents, Leroy and Thelma Harville, of Bay Minette, Alabama; nephew, Timothy Van Davidson; and an infant niece.

Lewis is survived by his wife of six years, Linda Harville, of Milton, Florida; mother-in-law, Lessie Adams; three valued step-sons, Ryan (Jenny), Michael and Phillip (Niki); seven step-grandchildren, Alexa, Haley, Caleb, Ethan, Michael, Nova, and John; brothers and sisters, Roger (Kathy) Harville, Deborah Davidson, Carol (Mike) Allen, Terry (Cathy) Harville; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Lou LaFever, Robert (Carolyn) Flowers, and Mary (Ron) Cash; three nephews and a niece, Lewis, Scott, Heath and Sarah; and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. William Milam officiating (5240 Dogwood Drive, Milton, Florida 32570).

Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family wishes to acknowledge and give a special thank you to our neighbor, Randall Lockett, who God sent our way to provide the best daily care for Lewis. Also, thank you to the complete family of Robert Flowers for your love, concern and continued support. The staff of Santa Rosa Medical Center, especially to an aide, Kayla, who patiently and personally fed him while under her care. The Harville family is so greatly appreciative for Covenant Care Hospice who took such wonderful care of Lewis and was so kind and patient with all of us going through this illness. We could not ask for a better staff of caregivers, they were there always to meet our daily needs for comfort, support and even their love. Finally, to all the family and friends who took time out of their days and gave of themselves. You gave your time with a phone call, helping with a task or by visiting and fellowshipping with him. THANK YOU and God bless you all!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Benevolent Fund at Olivet Baptist Church, 5240 Dogwood Drive, Milton, Florida 32570.
