Obituary for
Nadine Louise Hamm
Nadine Louise Hamm, 63, of Milton Florida, passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
She was born October 5, 1954, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to the late Micheal Angelo and Loretta Gladys (Swartzlander) Bozik. She attended high school and few terms of college in Butler, Pennsylvania. Nadine worked all sorts of jobs, ranging from working at the old truck stop, the egg farm, and she went to school for nursing and worked on the cancer wing. The cancer wing is where she discovered a lot about herself; she couldn't work with dying patients and not “hurt so much” for them. She left nursing and began working as a clerk at the Local Yokel, working for ten years or more, and retiring soon after it became a Circle K. While working at Local Yokel she met many members of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church, and started attending the church some years later.
Nadine was widowed by Daniel Lowery.
Nadine is survived by Johnny Hamm, of 22 years, of Milton, Florida; her son, Jeremy Lee Lowery of Seminole, Alabama; daughter, Tracey Alicia Lowery of Milton, Florida; step-daughter Desiree Hamm of Milton, Florida; five grandchildren Alyssa Lowery, Amber Williams, Destiny Ables, Leland Hamm, and Kenny Jr Chapman; and her first, and only, great-grandchild, Jessie Leigh Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel (6405 Hwy. 90 West, Milton, Florida), with Rev. Fred Rogers officiating. Nadine's wishes were to be cremated and the service will not include a viewing.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for family, and 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for the public, prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the Covenant Hospice staff for the love, care, and the help they provided for our loved one.
Nadine was known and loved very much by many people in the community; and we hope everyone remembers that beautiful smile every morning at the Local Yokel. She will be greatly missed.
