Obituary for
Myrtle Marie Plowman
Myrtle Marie Plowman, 88, of Milton, passed away at home on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
She was born in Houston, Texas, and spent most of her childhood there. She also lived in Brownsville, Texas, where she graduated in 1942. She and her husband of 54 years, Laurel Lavern Plowman, enjoyed extended traveling to Mexico, attending the Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Texas, going to family reunions, and in general visiting with family and friends during their travels. Marie was a lifelong member of the Pearidge Homemakers Club and Milton Garden Club. She worked in the family business from1971 until 2000, when she and Vern semi-retired and turned the business over to their children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Laurel Lavern Plowman; and her eldest son, Tracy Lee Plowman.
Marie is survived by four children, daughter, Pat (Randy) Cohron, son, Bob (Cher) Plowman, daughter, Jean Perry, and son, Bill Plowman, all from Milton, Florida; step-son, Doug (Dorothy) Plowman, from San Angelo, Texas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Pastor Ron Christian officiating. Marie will be interred in the Black Pond Cemetery in Summersville, Missouri, later this summer.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.
