Geraldine Johns
Geraldine Johns, 68, of Pace, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 22, 2018.
Geraldine was born January 14, 1950, and was a native and life-long resident of Pace, Florida. She attended Pace High School. Geraldine was a kind-hearted loving person, but was very opinionated and had no problem sharing her opinions with you! She loved her family and her fur babies, Pepper, Trixie, Shotsie and Gidgett. She was a “Mama Bear” when it came to her family. Her passion was old western movies, America and supporting Donald Trump.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Obey and Cornelia (Parker) Melvin; older sister, Mary Lou Melvin; and her twin sister, Pauline Melvin.
Geraldine is survived by her husband of 18 years, Roy Johns; her sweet fur baby, Pepper; three brothers, Edward (Peggy) Melvin, Wayne (Penny) Melvin, and Glenn Melvin; niece, Rachelle (Jonathan) Baxley; great-nephews, Cory, Cody and Garrett; stepchildren, Timothy (Nancy) Johns, Beth Johns, Janeen (Donny) Hodges; five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, Florida 32571.)
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Rev. Glyn Lowery officiating. Burial will follow services in Strickland Cemetery, Milton.
