Obituary for William Alex "WA" Broxson

William Alex “W.A.” Broxson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

He was born March 9, 1932, in Pensacola, Florida, where he was raised by his mother, Gladys (Broxson) William, and his grandparents, Addie and Joe Taylor.

Mr. Broxson served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked many years for Hess Marine, then later in life became a truck driver and retired from AAA Cooper Transportation Company. W.A. loved the Lord, enjoyed fishing, and loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Broxson is preceded into death by his wife of 63 years, MaryAnn Broxson, his mother Glady William, Grandparents Addie and Joe Taylor, his sisters Betty Carlene, Shirley William, and brother Ronnie William.

Mr. Broxson is survived by his daughter, Margie Shelton; son-in-law, Donald Shelton; son, James Douglas Broxson; daughter-in-law, Paige Broxson; grandchildren, Heather Broxson, Paxton and Elizabeth Shelton, Rachel and George Price; great-grandchildren, Piper, Paisley and Abel Shelton, Carlos Hinton, and Julian Griffin; his sister, Edna Whitehurst, and brother, Wayne William.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 10, 2018, in Whitmire Cemetery in Pensacola. Family and friends are welcome.

Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
