Annie Mae Shell Painter, 87, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Miss Annie was born in Evergreen, Alabama, to Edmond Sims, and Willie Mae Green Sims. She worked at Whiting Field for over 20 years; and attended Hickory Hammock Baptist Church.

Miss Annie is survived by her husband, John Warren Painter; children, Regina Shell Tolbert Begard (Michel), Rebecca Shell Reid, Reba Shell Morrell (Edward), Patricia Painter Richardson, David Warren Painter, Kenneth Wayne Painter (Tammy), and Ronald Walter Painter; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Hickory Hammock Baptist Church with Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Monday, at the church, prior to services.
