Albert G "Bubba" Adams
Albert G. “Bubba” Adams departed this world for heaven on Monday, January 29, 2018, in the Roeville Community of Milton, Florida. He was 79.
Mr. Adams was born on September 16, 1938, in Milton, Florida, to Albert and Lucille Adams. He graduated from Munson High School and went on to attend Troy State University until being drafted into the United States Army; he served from 1961 to 1963. After being honorably discharged, he married the former Peggy Delores Ates.
Mr. Adams was employed by Air Products and Chemicals which was later bought out by Westlake Chemical, where he retired.
Bubba was an avid angler, who from his childhood enjoyed fishing with his father, cousins, wife, children and stepchildren, utilizing the motto “You Strike, You Ride.” He also enjoyed hunting in the same manner. Bubba loved watching sports, particularly the Florida Gators. Mr. Adams is respected and highly thought of in his community, as well as his “home away from home”, Astor, Florida.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucille Adams; his wife, Peggy Adams; and his son, Albert Anthony “Tony” Adams.
He is survived by his son, Michael Scott Adams; stepson, John David Elliott; stepdaughter, Julia Kay Cleland; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and countless friends, which Bubba considered family. He is greatly loved and will be missed.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, located in Milton, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will follow services in Crain Cemetery.
