Barbara Jean Nowling (Kelley)
Lillie Mae Colbert Kelley’s and John O. Kelley Senior’s, baby girl, Barbara Jean Kelley Nowling (May 4, 1958 - January 30, 2018) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was an enrolled member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Clifford Nowling. Barbara was a loving sister who is survived by siblings, John Kelley (wife Donna Kelley), Henehv Douglas Kelley, second Chief at Hvssosv Tallvhasse Ceremonial Grounds (wife Dr. Deidra Suwanee Dees), Dorothy Kelley Watts (husband Larry Watts), and Tony Rolin (wife Teresa Rolin). She has a wonderful family of nieces and nephews: Joey W. Kelley (partner Jackie Flores), Amberly D. Bullard (husband Stacy Bullard), Douglas McArthur Kelley (wife Hailey Creppel), Joni Lynn Kelley Simpson (husband Jake Simpson), Crystal Kelley, Casey Owen Watts (wife Brandy Watts), Tonya Rolin, and Chris Rolin.
She has grandnieces and grandnephews Dalton Smith, Trace Bullard, Deannee Faircloth, Harmony Kelley, Isaiah Kelley, Tristan Simpson, Madison Simpson, Aurora Quill, Athena Quill, Mandi Manning, Hayley E. Watts, Dustin Watts, Braxton Manning, McKyle Rolin, Layne Rolin, Trevor Rolin, Troy Agahi, and Cameron Rolin.
She has great grandnieces, Cadence Redash, MacKenzie Wilson, and Chole Wilson.
She is survived by our special family, Linda Rolin, Johnny Colbert, Little Larry Watts, Mary Lou Watson, and Sue Hopkins.
Barbara Jean Kelley Nowling’s pallbearers are Joey W. Kelley, Douglas McArthur Kelley, Casey Owen Watts, Dalton Smith, Trace Bullard, Tristan Simpson, and Trevor Rolin.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lillie Mae Colbert (Tribal Member) and John O. Kelley, Sr., son, Brian Nowling, and special family Jim Sheffield, and has now joined them in heaven.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Ray Ward officiating. Burial will follow services in Pine Grove Cemetery.
