Obituary for Jennifer Kay Walker

Jennifer Kay Walker
Jennifer Kay Walker, 47, of Pace, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2017.

“When someone you love becomes a Memory, the memory becomes a Treasure.”

Jennifer (Brandt) Walker was born in Patuxent River, Maryland. As a child, her family moved to Pace, Florida, where she attended school, graduating from Pace High School in 1988. After high school, she married and was blessed with her two children.

She became a strong and independent woman. Her career led her to work as a Deputy Clerk for the Santa Rosa Clerk of Courts. Although Jennifer continued to nurture many friendships made throughout her journey in life, her main focus was her children and her family. She will always be remembered for the unconditional love and bond they shared. Jennifer was affectionately known by her family and friends as “Jenny.” She could light up a room with her smile. Her fun loving spirit and contagious laugh brought joy to all that knew her. She could be seen wearing her favorite Bible verse, Luke 8:50, around her wrist, and even named her dog “Luke” after the verse.

“Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon (Zuber) “Gem” Brandt.

Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Kassidy Walker (Jonathan) Harris and Brandt Walker; her father, Carl Brandt; one brother, Todd Brandt; and two nephews, Nicholas Brandt and Russell Brandt.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Pace. Burial will follow services in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., prior to the services.

The Brandt/Walker family would like to acknowledge with sincere appreciation all the expressions of kindness and support during this difficult time of sorrow.
