Dollie Adeal Thurman, 99, of Pace, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

Mrs. Thurman was born in Pensacola, Florida, to Tom Powers and Ada Greer Powers. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sister; her husband, Earl Augustus Thurman; son, William Henry Thurman; daughter, Edna Earl Barker; and an infant daughter.

Mrs. Thurman is survived by nine children, Joyce Marie Green, Shirley Thurman Smith, Juanita (Mitchell) Pozezinski, Eugene (Gail) Thurman, Beverly (Douglas) Winham, Debra (Marc) Benson, Darlene Raybon, Kenneth (Tammy) Thurman, and Donald Thurman; a brother, Elbert Miller; 36 grandchildren; 85 great grandchildren; 35 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thurman will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Rev. Jim Stickle officiating.

Burial will follow services in Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, directing.

The family will receive friends 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m., prior to the services.
