Obituary for Loyd Dee Wait Jr.

Loyd Dee  Wait Jr.

Loyd D. Wait, Jr., 60 years old, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017.
Loyd was born November 16, 1956, to Roberta and Loyd D. Wait, Sr., at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington. He traveled or lived all over Europe and the United States; including three years in the Netherlands, attending the World’s Fair in Brussels, Belgium, and all over Germany. He lived in many of the states, including Waynoka Oklahoma, Port Angeles Washington, Grand Forks North Dakota, Omaha Nebraska, fourteen years in Tampa Florida, St. Helen Organ, Portland Organ, and lastly coming to Milton Florida in 1978. Loyd was a faithful member of Milton First Assembly of God Church, and found the “love of his life” in working with the Royal Rangers.

He is preceded in death by his father, Loyd D. Wait Sr.; brother, Randall Douglas Wait; step-brother, William W. Buchinsky Jr.; grandparents, Mary and Harry Holloway; grandparents, Jim and Rachel Wait; grandfather, Walter Buchinsky; an aunt, Marilyn Carter; and an uncle, Leonard Holloway.

Loyd is survived by his mother and step-father, Roberta and Henry T. Harrell Sr.; brother, Wesley Wait; three stepbrothers, Anthony “Tony” (Angel) Buchinsky, Jimmy (Rose) Harrell and Dusty (Debbie) Harrell; three stepsisters, Stacey Jones, Gloria Charles, and Helen (Mark) Hults; and two very special nephews, Trent Hults and Jason Buchinsky. He also leaves to cherish his memory so many special friends, Bro. Mark Payne, his preacher – Bro. Dusty Roberts, Bro. John Rucker, Charles Jones, Devan Jones, Bro. Fred Rogers, and so many more special people at “his church” as he called it.

The family extends very special thank yous and their sincere appreciation to Covenant Care at West Florida Hospital, Dr. Tan from the Woodlands, and the nurses at 6 South at West Florida that cared for him for his last five months.

Graveside Services will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Milton Cemetery, with Rev. Duke Barrow and Rev. Dusty Roberts officiating. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
