Obituary for Robert "Bob" Reveron

Robert "Bob" Reveron
Robert “Bob” Reveron passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at The Beacon Assisted Living Facility.

Robert was born in September of 1930, in New York, to Modesto Reveron and Anna Collazo. He served in the US Army during the Korean War in the Anti-Military Missile Battalion Operations, 552nd Battalion, at Karlsruhe, Germany.

After discharge from the Army, Robert began working with Combined Insurance Agency as a mass marketing coordinator. Afterwards, he received his license as a real estate agent and became a property manager in Port Orange, Florida. A couple of years later he opened the “The Orange Owl” restaurant in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He was passionate about building classic model boats, sailing, and building his own creations from wood. In his spare time, he volunteered at The Museum of Arts & Science in Daytona Beach. He volunteered 100+ hours to the restoration of “The Sugar Mill Havana Cuba” replica.

Robert was a loving father and always proud of his children and grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor. In his spare time Bob was a prolific writer, putting pen to paper to record his views of the world around him. He was a mentor to his children and anyone who took the time to listen to the nuggets of wisdom he was always willing to share, in return for their company and sharing a drink.

Robert is survived by his children, Sandra Neto, Roberto Reveron, Jacqueline Buchanan, and Zary Reveron Melendez; his siblings, Henry Reveron, Louis Reveron, and Pablo Reveron, Miriam Cacho, and Wilma Reveron Collazo; and his eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566.), with Chaplin Mike Poston officiating.

Burial with Full Military Honors will follow services in Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice, The Beacon Assisted Living Facility and Chaplain Gary Thompson, for the care given to our father and grandfather.
