David A. Cole, 62, of Navarre, Florida, passed away, Monday, August 7, 2017. He was born April 9, 1955, in Guam, to Horace Gene and Shirley.

After 23 years in the Air Force, David retired in April of 2000.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Gene and Shirley; mother, Sara; and sister, Karen.

David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Felicia, of Navarre, Florida; children, Timothy (Brooke), of Milton, Florida, daughter, Christina, of Navarre, Florida, and Scottie (Becky) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; three grandchildren, Emily, Hattie, and Liam; and siblings, Richards (BJ) of Navarre, Florida, Tony Mack (Mindy) of Charlotte, Tennessee, Cheryl (Lloyd) of Columbus, Georgia, Michael Mack (Mary) of Chatham, Illinois, Ella Steele of Jupiter, Florida, and Kevin Cole (Nona) of Stafford, Virginia.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel, with Associate Pastor Trey Rose officiating. Burial will follow services in Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the services.

The Cole family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at Baptist Hospital and Covenant Hospice for the love and care given to David and his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in David’s name, to the American Cancer Society or Covenant Hospice.
