Obituary for
Marilyn Seawright (Longmire)
Sis. Marilyn Seawright was born on August 8, 1954, in Century, Florida, to the late Ben and Isadore Longmire.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Earlie Lee Seawright, Jr.; father, Ben Longmire; mother, Isadore Longmire; sister, Evelyn Green; brothers, Robert Longmire and Bennie Longmire; father-in-law, Earlie Lee Seawright, Sr.; mother-in-law, Roseanna Seawright; brothers-in-law; Charlie Seawright and James Andrews I.; sister-in-law, Gwen Seawright; and an uncle, Willie Rankins.
Marilyn was joined in holy matrimony to Earlie Lee Seawright, Jr., in 1976. To this union was born three beautiful daughters.
She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a devoted member of Mt. Bethel in Bagdad, Florida. She later joined Bethlehem United Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Hosea Montgomery. She was a devoted member and also served as the church secretary.
Marilyn worked for the Santa Rosa School Board for 30 years as a secretary at Locklin Technical Center, where she adored her co-workers and students.
Marilyn departed this life and took flight with the heavenly angels on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
She leaves to cherish her memory three beautiful daughters, Andrea Franklin (Chris Franklin, son-in-law), Lashanda Sapp (Jeffrey Sapp, son-in-law), and LaToya Seawright; eight precious grandchildren, Ron’Asia, Xavier, Kiaira, Marquis, Janay, Mariah, Mason, Bryson and Taylor whom she loved dearly; five brothers, Walter (Lori) Longmire of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eddie (Dorothy) Longmire of Milton, Florida, Jesse (Georgia) Longmire of Andalusia, Alabama, James (Sharon) Longmire of Andalusia, Alabama, and Frank Longmire of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Patricia Longmire of Milton, Longmire; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; also five very special friends, Gwen Bivines, Sammie Williams, Suanne Locklin, Nina Voelker, and Carol Rich; and two very special Goddaughters, Kaiden Tookes & Kaelin Hood.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Bethlehem United Missionary Baptist Church (515 Woodland Drive, Pensacola, Florida 32503). Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
