Wizie “Dodson” Justice, 82, of Milton, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017.

Dodson was born November 26, 1934, in Munson, Florida, to parents Noah and Bamma Viola (Attaway) Justice. Dodson married the love of his life, Mary Lou Richardson, in 1955. He served in the Navy and the Reserves. He retired from Alabama Power; and was a member of Local IBEW Union 676, a Shriner and a Mason. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Milton.

Dodson is predeceased by his parents; and granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Justice.

Dodson is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Justice of Milton; children, Mark Anthony (Carol) Justice of Morehead City, North Carolina, Craig Phillip (Lana) Justice of Dora, Alabama, Gayle Ellen (Cory) Meade of Milton, Cameron Trent Justice of Milton, Christian Matthew Justice of Milton, and Cayden Jackson Justice of Milton; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Bobbie Grace Justice Williams of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Rev. Jim Liberacki officiating.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, in Barrancas National Cemetery, with military honors. Please meet at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, to follow in procession to the cemetery. We will leave the funeral home promptly at 9:30 a.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Covenant Hospice for the love and care given to Dodson during his illness, and for the compassion shown to his family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Dodson’s memory to Eastside Baptist Church (4884 Ward Basin Road, Milton, FL 32583).
