Gary L. Erdman, 71, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away, Sunday, April 2, 2017. Gary was born in Waseca, Minnesota, and was the first of two children born to the late Dean and Marion Erdman.


He was a graduate of The University of Minnesota (Mankato) and a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. He retired in 2010 in Tallahassee, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Erdman.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bettye J. Erdman, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; a daughter, Cheryl (Rusty) Scott of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; a daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Kelley of Dallas, Georgia; and three grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Gary Erdman will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Bagdad Cemetery in Bagdad, Florida, with Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, directing.
